How the Auction Purchase Process Works

    Consultation

    We discuss your preferences, including vehicle type, year, mileage, features, and budget.

  • STEP2
    Deposit

    A deposit of around 10% of the estimated vehicle price (minimum ¥100,000) is required before bidding.

  • STEP3
    Auction Bidding

    ASAHI will bid on your behalf at a trusted dealer-only auction to secure the ideal car.

  • STEP4
    Document Preparation

    Once the car is secured, we assist you with all necessary paperwork, including registration forms and permits.

  • STEP5
    Final Payment & Delivery

    After receiving the remaining balance, we complete the registration and deliver the car to you.

Full Support Before Delivery — Inspection, Insurance, and Registration

  • All vehicles are inspected and maintained at ASAHI’s certified partner garage before delivery.
  • We handle the paperwork for mandatory liability insurance (Jibaiseki).
  • Optional insurance support is also available — we’re happy to assist you in English.
  • Whether you need a vehicle with a valid Shaken (vehicle inspection) or want us to obtain it for you, we’ve got you covered.

Leasing Option Available (From 18 Months)

If you’re interested in a vehicle but prefer not to buy, we also offer flexible leasing plans starting from 18 months.

We will guide you through all documents and procedures clearly in English.
Please note: We do not offer English support over the phone.
To avoid any misunderstandings, we recommend written communication so that a clear record is kept.

I’m not confident about preparing documents. Will I need to handle that myself?

Yes, you will need to provide a few personal documents such as a seal registration certificate or residence certificate.
However, ASAHI will guide you step by step — including where to get them and how.
For non-Japanese customers, we also provide translation support and help filling out forms.

What happens if the car I want isn’t found at the auction?
A

If we’re unable to secure a vehicle that matches your request, your deposit will be refunded.
However, once a car has been successfully purchased at auction, the deposit is non-refundable.

Can I pay in installments or take out a loan?
A

At this time, we only accept full payment.
You can pay by bank transfer or credit card (via Square).
Leasing options are also available — feel free to ask for more details.

A

Yes. We take care of both mandatory liability insurance (Jibaiseki) and can assist with optional insurance as well.
